Ah, another Trophy catch!

Post by john elder »

Well, in some world :D ..our friends, Steve and Judy Sample invited us up to their private lunker hole for a sunday afternoon of fishing, which gave me a chance to test drive the latest pau ferro 4-strip fly rod. The best I can say is that the rod performed well and is now no longer a virgin! Maybe I can find a better challenge in the mountains a couple weeks from now!

Of course, the real challenge was fileting that beast :D

Thats all that counts. Its a proven fact that if your rod gets skunked on its first trip out, then it'll be forever jinxed.

LOL John. Did you wing that puppy into the brush behind you while setting the hook?

John,
You are getting a lot of ribbing here . Was that fish really small. The photo is no longer available . Can't you just do what the other guys do and ...umm...lie ?
