It was great seeing you Mike and congratulations for winning the best reel award at this year's show. It was a true pleasure catching up with all our fellow reel collectors at this year's Daytona show. Orcans from across the country came to share their collections and knowledge, something you can only experience when you go to a show. A special thanks to John Bechtold for his slide show on Saturday night, it was an unexpected pleasure to say the least.

I would encourage all members of ORCA to attend the Daytona show next year for a truly unforgettable reel experience. Not only do you get the chance to thaw out for a few days but you also get to pick the brains of some of the most knowledgeable collectors in all fields of reel collecting. You can see and handle hundreds of reels that are priced for sale and you can actually pick them up, spin the handle, and experience them first hand and not just on a computer screen. You will get to see some fantastic reel displays featuring some of the finest reels from some of the most amazing collections in the country.

Start making your plans now to attend the 2021 show! The Florida Antique Tackle Collectors Club is very progressive and not only encourages ORCA members to attend the show, but they have also set aside a large hall with amazing ocean views just for ORCA members. Being a reel collector myself, and having been to just about every show in the country, I firmly believe the Daytona show is the largest and most diverse reel show in world. You can contact me for more information about show dates and anything else you need to know about attending next years 2021 show.

I HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE!

The last vintage tackle show many of us attended was a year ago in Daytona, so I thought this was worth a bump. Hopefully we’ll all be together soon. A look at some past group photos is at least a little salve for these tough times.
