Here is a picture of the Marsters and Bradford reels. Note the difference in spool width. The Marsters is 7/8" wide and the Bradford is 1" wide. The pillars are straight. They appear bent due to the camera angle.

Here is a picture of the Bradford reel with the check cover removed. I couldn't get the Marsters cover off easily. The screws came out but the cover did not want to be removed easily and I didn't want to force it. The pawl, gear and attachment of the spring on the Bradford might give some indication of who made it and its relation to other reels.

Jim, your reel looks like an earlier version of my Bradford & Anthony. Other than mine having threaded pillars on the front whereas they are held with screws on yours, the reels are much the same.
