Thanks, just showing what can be done. My thoughts are that the holder could possibly be mounted on the bottom of a shelf and suspend a openface spinning reel while the top of the shelf could hold baitcasters or similar reels. You could mount at a angle to display both the side and front of reel. Rick did you want some of the Hawthornes or the reel holders? Oh forgot to mention I had envisioned a clear shelf so that light would transfer. through.

If ya decide to market the reel holders, don't ferget me. I LIKE the vision.

Well I finished mounting the two side casters I just picked up. They're not bad...BUT...there's gotta be better ways to display reels. That's why I'm pokin' at this subject. (help guys)

Rick,

Have you ever thought about the small revolving stand that a Jeweller uses to display a watch? If you could find one in good used condition ( right price) and set it up with a remote switch for a special reel or if you were a electrical/mechanical genius you could build shelves that had a row of turn tables ...100's of slow turning reels ( Just dreaming..?)

Has anyone thought of trying those white nylon holders for Romex electric wire? They are found at your local hardware store, they're cheap and won't hurt your reel seat. Use the 3/4" size.
