Well I thought everyone knew about Kitchen’s Patent reel. It was a commercial failure and this model is the salmon size one of three known to exist. This one came from the inventors family and could have been Kitchen’s own reel.
The provenance on this is very good.
This reel normally seels for about £1,000 but in this size who knows hence the £2,000-4,000 estimate.
It is a pig of a reel to use from what I remember when I tried to use one many years ago
