Photobucket Help

Post by Dale Noll »

Just starting to use this forum to post photos. One of the options lists either public or private. Any suggestions on how to handle this item.

Is it wise to post photos of persons, such as visiting ORCAns. I recently had such an event happen. Is there a special option for this?

Thanks in advance for any help with this privacy issue.

Dale, if you want to send people to look at your photos in photobucket by posting a link, then it has to be public so they can go in for a look. If you want to just post pics here directly, go to the pic in question and click on it...they will give you 4 forms of the pic "address". For posting on orca, click on the last one (IMG form) and it will say "copied". You can then come to this message window and hit "paste" and the pic will appear here, regardless of privacy issues.

re pics of friends, that's up to you and them. If they have lightening rods on their heads, perhaps a verbal report is best :D

Dale, IMHO, pics of a recognizable person shouldn't be posted for public view without permission. And posting a name IDing the person should be avoided without additional permission. Same goes for email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses, etc., on boards like this.

Guess it is best to not post personal photos, names, etc.
