Didn't know where to post this one so I thought I would just 'show and tell' them.
So I bought a fly fishing pouch and the guy left the contents in it.. These old hook packs were in it and I thought they were interesting. If anyone knows anything about them (value mostly, and age for the fly hooks), let me know.
The 2 eagle claw packs have a pop up eagle when opened and are dated 1930.. The other 2 are not dated.
The Glen Evans Craftsman hooks were produced about 15 miles from where I'm sitting. I believe most of their hooks were Mustad's. In the 1950s Glen Evans was a major player in the tackle business, but in the 1960's or 1970s (?) they were sold to Luhr Jensen of Hood River, OR. About a year ago, Luhr Jensen was sold to Rapala... and so it goes with modern business.
Glen Evans did produce some Craftsman brand bamboo rods, a few wooden lures (I wrote an article for the NFLCC on them many years ago), but were mostly known nation-wide as a producer of metal baits and flies. A great many women in this area tied flies for Glen Evans in their homes.
there are some really neat hook holders/displays out there. The ones you show are pretty common and most of us that have been buying tackle boxes at garage/estate sales over the years have accumulated a bunch of them. Todd Larson is a closet collector of this sort thing (sorry to narc you out, Todd ) ...maybe he'll show us a couple pics when he can cut away a few minutes from editing 5 or 6 books.
