casting rules
gee thats so simple even i can understand it carl

1st hour
My first hour of trying to cast with a level wind reel for the first time in my life went smoother than I thought. I took out my new Akron 1893 and put it on a 5' Fenwick bass rod (ok, it's glass but I'm still looking for a good steel or bamboo rod. Maybe 1 backlash per 8-10 casts surprised me but I guess it helps that I already cast Senators from 3/0 to 6/0. Just gotta get used to the action of the rod, it seems more like.b All I can say is thank goodness someone invented spinning reels and nylon line!
