Photos like that would ruin eBay. The secrets to successful auction photography are to (1) shoot each reel side from an exact 90-degree viewing angle to make sure no feature is shown in 3-D, (2) shoot from at least 20 feet from the reel to make sure the reel takes up no more than 3% of the photo area, and (3) be sure no part of the reel is in focus.

Since "what you see is what you get" most of the time, I suppose that most reels you get off eBay look blurred when you take them out of the box.

the best deals I've ever won on ebay were from poor photographers.
Not saying some aren't using poor photography as a way to pass off junk, but there are honest sellers out there who also happen to be bad photographers.

...or lazy photographers...or too cheap to pay 15 cents apop for a few extra shots...so they just give you that one satellite photo and figure that's good enough.
