Moscrop, oh, Moscrop.....
Hi Nutz: Lots and lots and lots of discussions on the ReelTalk board over the years about this reel. There are genuine Moscrop fly reels and there are a lot of fake brass Moscrops churned out by brass foundries in India and Pakistan.

If you want to send me 2-3 jpegs of your reel, I can post them on the board. Only by studying very sharp, clear photos can anyone make an educated guess about whether you hold a genuinely old, English-made Moscrop, or a newly made fake Moscrop, suitable for putting on your display shelf or using as an anchor for a very small boat.
