WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH THIS REEL? It's a question...with a multitude of potential answers. I'm just looking for the consensus. Not interested in the arguments for or against any particular level of cleaning. It is mechanically intact and functions well, as is.
- Bearing in mind that some would probably pass it up, in this condition -
Just Curious - What would you do...AND...
Why?

I,ll add re why is that this reel is worth saving, but is not rare or of particular high value...i.e., cleaning up this reel does not put a rare fishing artifact at risk. If it were rarer, i would still clean it, but might choose to only use soap, water, folllwed by lubrication.

Rick:
My recommendation would be for you to send it to me, let me do what I can do as a result of your mentorship. But that's just me!
Rick...Make it shiney!

I'd agree with John. It's a very common reel so have at it.
