Hi and greetings. I am looking for Info on the above reel. I was given the reel by a coworker and wounder if it was a good gift to start collecting off with.
It is in fair shape and seems to work correctly.

John, It totaly depends what the reel number and model number is. More than likely if it is not in perfect shape. it is valued under $15.00. I just bought an early #1845 Mod HP for $9.99 frpm E-Bay and that is one of the uncommon ones. For starters, yes that isn't bad. You can put together a large collection of them for a minimial amount of funds. Some day they may become collectors items but there are zillions of them out there.
