Impossibly large and hard to find Hardy Bros. 8 1/2 inch "Zane Grey" reel that was modified by 1930s California reel maker C. R. Klein of Santa Monica California. Hardy8 1/2 inch "Zane Grey" reels are as scarce as they come and this example is in wonderful condition and was professionally modified back in the 1930s to be a cradle reel by C. R. Klein. This monster weighs 31 pounds, is 8 1/2 inches in diameter and measures 4 3/4 inches across the spool and 14 inches from cradle end to cradle end.
