Love Cleanin' Reels - Like Cuttin' Diamonds

Post by Rick H »

It's so DAM rewarding to find those diamonds in the rough and clean 'em up, breathing new life into them. Kinda like givin' birth I'd guess, but not as painful. This was a scruffy little fella. But with a little love and tenderness, he'll fish just fine. I've seen these before, but forgot about 'em over time. This not a DAM nor a Weber, but a South Bend Model 1151. It is identical to the old Weber Futurist (in the background). I'm not sure of the linkage between Weber and South Bend. Maybe SB bought Weber out at one time? Can anyone shed some light?

Nice reel, Rick. I like "marble-ized" reels.
