Selling the Collection

Post by Dylan Eldridge »

I am selling my reel collection and started posting just a few of them on Ebay today. I will continue to put new reels up in the coming days and weeks. I have quite a few reels to sell and some that many of you might want so I thought I would put something over here on the ORCA board even though I know most of you are pretty good at searching through the E bay listings. Here is a link to the first reel I posted today, South Bend 2500 reel, I think there is always somebody on here asking for one so here is your chance. Thanks for looking.

I noticed none of my reels I posted are found yet when they are searched. They must still be indexing them so hopefully in a couple hours they show up for you guys to look at.

Oh yes everything is great with me. I have gotten a lot of joy from all these reels but thought it was time to let some others have them. I just got to thinking about how they are just sitting in my display shelves not doing much. I enjoy looking at them and sometimes using the cheaper ones but all in all they have begun to become less important to me over time. And I figured I could use the money for something in the future. My wife just got a job being a chiropractor and I just found a new teaching job where she will be working so we are doing well right now but have to move everything in about a month. Packing up all these reels just didn't seem necessary along with all the other stuff we have. So I thought maybe these reels could put a little extra into our savings. There are certainly some nice ones, some very cool Bronsons and Shakespeares that some of you guys will like. Hopefully you guys enjoy them as much as I have. :)

Here is what I posted today. There is no rhyme or reason to what I have posted here. Just started grabbing off the shelves and these happened to be the first eleven reels. I have many others like these that I think you will be interested in.

That South Bend 2500 is one of the beautiful reels I've ever seen, and believe me, I've seen a few.

I completely agree with you! It has been my baby haha. I am sure it will be appreciated to whoever is lucky enough to win it. I forgot to mention that I have a maroon carry bag that goes with that reel that matches the spacers perfectly, but oh well it will just be a surprise to the winner.

Come on Dylan, give up the box for that SB No.2500, I know you got it hidden somewhere ! ? I think that show box is worth more than the reel !

Robert way to ruin my plan. I was planning on putting the display box up for sale AFTER the 2500 reel sold! That way the winner of the reel will have to bid BIG if they want to have the box to go with it. Hehe ; )
