Five sure signs of mental illness

Post by RAM »

1) Keeping your desk organized at all times
2) Writing letters to the editor
3) Arguing with someone on the TV screen
4) Going to the mail box day after day, week after week expecting to find a check for a bad debt
5) Yelling to the dog next door over and over to stop barking

If you do any two of the above, seek help. There is medication.

Bad Bob (Have never written a letter to the editor, but have come close several times. Desk normally in state of chaos. No comment on other three.)

I recall writing two letters to the editor in the last 40 years...and I cringe every time I think about either of them. It's fine to write letters to the editor...just be sure and shred them or these days, hit "delete" before they ever leave the house! .and arguing with the TV screen should get a pass...especially given things like Dr. Phil and Fox News. Now, THROWING things at the TV is another matter...like while watching the Padres and Chargers games.

Charles Imbrie of the firm Abbey & Imbrie wrote.. "Everything I have written has been anonymous. This will render it unnecessary for me to spend my declining years of life explaining why I have changed my mind on nearly every subject, and in excusing the mistakes of my early and middle life."

...and a corollary to jason's post...not sure of origin and comes in several deviations, but: "never pass up an opportunity to say nothing"... This is one i should remember more often

I (or the wife) just have to look into my workshop.Once upon a time one could actually walk around not over mostly fishing stuff. I personally blame Dick Streater.
