Daylight Saving? Time

Post by RAM »

Have contended all along this DST thing is a farce. e.g.: Since summer here in Nashville we have aready lost two hours of daylight in the morning and two in the evening. It's getting worse every day! Another government intervention in our lives! Big Brother says soon it will be time to fall back. Or is it fall forward? Or is it spring back? Or go which ever direction you feel is best for your situation? What month is this? Oh the confusion!

well, this will be the first time I can recall where we will Fall Back after Halloween...I recall this because we always had to take the kids out trick or treating by 4pm if we didn't want them to get run over in their Johnny Midnight Ninja outfits (SNL freaks will get this).

Nov 4, move your clock back one hour.

I love daylight savings time. I always go to work in the dark. I hate coming home from work in the dark.

Still think my idea needs to be given serious consideration. Since the jerks in Washington (the ones who play golf) keep moving the spring date earlier and the fall date later, move both (fall forward, spring back ) to midnight New Years Eve. That way no one has to change 23 clocks and watches and! Think how much extra energy we would save!
I should get the Nobel Peace Prize for this. Will help global warming problem more than Al has.

What I have often wondered is where is all that daylight we saved when we need it? As for those who thought up such a thing why don't they just get up earlier? That way it will not affect the rest of us and they will have what they want.

All I Know is that that extra hour of sunlight in the Summer burns my Maters up
and makes my Chickens lay lopsided eggs

Fact is somebody makes a boatload of money in wage offsets when that hour hand moves either way plus on the first few days everyone is either early or late
and the poor kids show up in the dark to catch the Bus If the Driver is on the same hour !

Just move here to Arizona, we are the only State that does not play that game! Our time does not change!

Oops! AZ's not the only state. In fact, some people think time stands still over here.

Being from IL, I really dislike this time of the year. I get up at 4:00am every morning, to support people from the east coast. Most days I'll get stuck in the office till about 4:00-4:30pm.

This time of the year it seems the day is all ready over before it even starts.

Summers can be enjoyable, but winters do wear on me.
