One complaint I have always had with message boards is when people email answers to questions. This is a public forum, but paid for by ORCA members. I hope that if someone knows the answers to public questions they post public answers. The email responses are not common on this site, but they are rampant on Joes message board. I see something that really looks interesting and then then next post I see is "thanks guys for all the help." No one learns the answer to the question other than the poster. I hope that someone will post the answer to Bob's question on this board, and not just email him. I am curious about this reel since I have one that looks identical in German Silver.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Phil is right here! We try to share as much information as we can with each other so we can all learn from each other. I will be very interested to see what comes up here myself. The rotating disc oil cap is what intrigues me. I only knew that Vom Hofe and Hendryx used these. I do not think that the reel here is either one - so now I may have an opportunity to learn something from this that I did not know before and that is what this sharing of information is about.

Phil is much more astute in OLD stuff, about reels of course, my first thought was Malleson. Or one of his original partners. Bisset, Conroy ?
Or Crook? Just guessing now, but I DO covet It...Jack
