NEED A HURD EXPERT TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION

PICKED UP A HURD THE OTHER DAY AND IT HAD THESE TWO TOKEN TYPE GIZMOS ON IT. CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THE NUMBER IS THE MIDDLE IS FOR OR MEANS? ONE IS FL617 AND THE OTHER IS FZ155. IT SAYS "HURD, RECORD AND DETACH " THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Gerald,
Haven't seen these before, but I suspect these are key code rings for one of the many locks Hurd made - they look like automotive code rings. Hurd Lock and Key made automotive and other types of locks as their primary business. Probably date from the same time period as the combos (1946-1951), or perhaps a little later. Not, as far as I know, associated with the combos. Hope this helps.

thanks for your input Pete. I never thought about the hurd locks. you could very well be right. wonder if they have any value
