Pristine Penn 1940 Long Beach 60 in box

Post by liwilliams78 »

Greetings, ORCA members. Found in late husband's footlocker in pristine condition. Penn 1940 Long Beach 60 with Catalog No.8, oiling system, wrench and box.

Will put on ebay for auction July 15th at $95 for entire lot plus shipping (estimated shipping at less than $15.00). Want to offer to ORCA members first (I'd rather see a collector have it than someone make a buck off it.)

Regards, Linda

Sorry folks, I'm still learning the terminology. It's in A10 and M10 condition. The screws haven't even been touched by a screwdriver.

I've caused some confusion, sorry! The starting bid for ORCA members is $110.00 shipping included. If shipping is more than $15.00, I will pay the difference. So the starting bid is actually $95.00 for the reel, box, catalog, oil and wrench. I am only advertising this on this website, although my partner mentioned it to his work buddies, and they want to see it. Not happening. A picture is worth a thousand words. I have 1 bid so far; and I'll take bids until July 14, 2013, 11:59pm.

Thank you all who have helped me navigate this process.

Linda, this board is not an auction...at least it's not intended to be. When you put a price on it, that was supposed to be it, not an opening bid. But i guess if it works for all parties, it's up to those involved to deal with it.

CONFUSED or not . It was offered at a$95.00 PRICE and that price was agreed to be paid. IMO -the proper and correct way is to accept the $95.00 that was agreed to be paid. That is what was posted and this is not the place to hold an auction in an attempt to increase prices to fellow members. Ken Broseman
