2013 ORCA Convention photos from Thursday

An assortment for your enjoyment. A handful of us had a great canoe / kayak trip down Elkhorn Creek and a few fish were caught and released. Casting competition is going on now.

Some Kentucky reels passed around last night:

Co-host Doug Carpenter escorted us out to the canoe rental spot. John Elder is getting rigged for some fishing.



Anglers all: Henry Caldwell, Craig Barber, Bill Sonnett, Bill Muth, Dan Basore and John Elder were the anglers.



It was cool and foggy when we put in...


but rapids awaited us. Here's Henry and Craig negotiating one, successfully.

I finally arranged last minute plane tickets, car and hotel. I am looking forward to meeting ORCA folks in person and checking out those precious Kentucky reels on Saturday!
