Hard to find version of Pflueger Redifor for sale REDUCED

Post by John Savu »

In the 1918 Redifor Rod and Reel Co. catalog, they mention that they will warrant any Pflueger Redifor reel, that they, Redifor, had replaced Pflueger's internal parts. When that was done, Redifor would hand stamp the Pflueger reel with WARREN, OHIO. This is one of those reels. Why the two companies would permit this is still a mystery. Click works, drag/tension disc does not change much. Light scratches and jeweled caps, what I call sand caps. 3 patent dates on tailplate, #3777. $295 shipped to lower 48, 3 day return privilege minus postage. Check or postal money order. PRICE IS NOW $255

Interesting note John: In the 1917 Field and Stream Redifor and Enterprise each had an almost identical ad for that reel. Likely that has never happened with any other reel model. Do you know of another such example? Very nice, tough reel!

And only 96 years later the magazine and the reel are now the same price.
