:D :o :shock: 8) :!: :?: :idea: :arrow: :type: Clinto Beeler, I need your expert advise, I just recived a wonderful well made American Belt buckle, Front reads--- 1949-1989 a larger fish words ZEBCO over 40 below the 40 is Anniversary in a ribon like place is LIMITED EDITION ) on the back side reads ( for 4 decades , Zebco has provided the folks who fish the great waters of america with quality fishing tackle and unforgetable memories, ZEBCO A Proud and Contiuing America tradition. at the top is a American Eagle and words The Great america Buckle Co. the #15 is in the metal most likly the 15th one made. The words are almost all capitals letters. The Buckle has been cast in a mold? Do you or your dad recall this and if so about how many were actualy made, 2 whom recived them? 3 were they open to the public or just warrenty centers or? 4 do you have one of these? respectfuly for any imformation , Col. Yup. I see these from time to time on the auction sites. These came from marketing so I don't know much about them except that they exist. If memory serves there was also a 25th anniversary edition. Given the trouble it takes to make the molds for the castings it would be safe to say more than 100. I'm thinking 250, 500, or 1000. There also pieces made for Zebco's 50th and the 33s anniversaries. If you really want to see something rare try the limited edition (Zebco) model 33. The front cover is engraved with fishing scenes. 1000 were made and they came in a lucite display case. (father has number 10) I'll ask father about them. I don't have one but he might. I have no idea how they were distributed.
