River Tweed in Scotland Pt. 1
Back from a wonderful fishing trip in Scotland, fished the river Tweed together with my 2 friends.
Here some pictures from the trip, hope you will enjoy them.
We stayed at the Traquair Arms hotel.
I'm ready to leave the hotel, ready to fish
My friend Herbert ready to fish. He is one of the only I know which only use cane rods, for all kind of his fishing.
Herbert fishing our beat just in front of the fishing hut.
A view down the pool named avenue - a wonderful pool.
View down the Bar Pool.
Also the Bar Pool.
And now pictures of why I came to fish the Tweed - lots of salmons and his time I hit the right place, the right time and everything was perfect
I caught 6 salmons between 74 cm and 95 cm (29 inches to 38 inches).
First salmon caught on the Willie Gun fly
Second salmon caught on the Snelda fly
Again a salmon caught on a Willie Gun
The largest salmon also caught on a Willie Gun. (95 cm / 38 inches) and nearly 22 lb.
All fish was released.
A few more pictures from the river
Herbert fighting a fish in the Bar Pool.
And the 2 dogs from our ghillie.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures. There will be a part 2 when I get the pictures from my friends.
Best

Jacob you are certainly one fortunate human being. You have visited some amazing and beautiful areas this year on your fishing expeditions. The scenery is gorgeous and it appears the fishing was great to boot! Count your blessings, you are a lucky man!

Glad to see the fish. I was beginning to loose faith. Fish these beutiful places, but not an abundance of fish. I usually never catch any. Fishing is fun whether your cathing or not. Catching is an added bonus. Nice pictures as usual.

Now that is a trip worth remembering! Nice catch Jacob. And I was beginning to think all that nice water didn't hold any fish. It just doesn't get any better.

I'm glad you liked the pictures.
And finally I hit the right time on a river... it feels good to catch a fish occasionally

Jacob,
What an outing. Those are some nice fish, and the scenery is beautiful.
