The Salmon and I (Tweed pt. 2)
I have a few more pictures to show from my trip to river Tweed in Scotland.
Please enjoy the pictures from the "take" to the landing
The Salmon just took the fly and I'm on the way out of the river to fight the salmon.
Trying to get everything under control.
Near the river bank, but the salmon won't give up.
The last try to escape, but it did not had success.
I won the battle, the Salmon is safely landed.
Beautiful Salmon, thanks for the good fight
Seconds after the last picture the Salmon was careful released again, so that it could continue up the river to spawn.
Best
Jacob

Awesome! Look at the hooked jaw on that beauty. Thanks again, Jacob.

Pretty awesome! And for a trailer salesman too. Had breakfast this a.m. with several retired semi drivers. I was telling them about what you sell and who your major customer is. Wishing you and yours, happy holidays and good fishing and collecting in the new year.

I have never really fly fished before, but I guess I would have wetted my pants too if I had hooked a fish like that!

Outstanding! What a user friendly site to fish at. I usually fish small freestone trout streams, with a high gradient and overgrown banks. Roll casts are the norm.

Jacob,
A Salmon taken on a two-handed rod, very nice. I normally think of salmon colors being more silver or lighter. Your fish has darker pigment than I would expect - almost like a big brown trout. Are those spawning colors?
Klingon,
Great to see you over here. This place has lots of information on reels - fly and conventional. Stick around you'll run into a few other people you might recognize.

I'm not Jacob but I think I can answer your question. Those are spawning colors. And notice the hooked jaws.

Don already answered the question.
When the salmon enter the river from the sea, it is silver.
Like this salmon that I caught a week in June for some years ago.
