I'm in contact with the IGFA who has Field & Stream's records to try to get some more info.

I just thought some would like to see it as I think it is one of the most unique Field & Stream pins I have seen.

Great Pin. I looked in the 1996 book and his name isn't listed. It will be interestering to find out what year that was set.
Here is a list of weigts and tippet class as of 1996.
2lb---16lb 8oz
4lb---19 3
6lb---14 4
8lb 24 8
12lb--24 0
16lb--28 0
20lb--14 5
These probably have changed since 1996.
The all tackle record is 42lb, 2oz from Alaska in 1970.
