1923 Pflueger Supreme
Does anyone have an extra decent one. I have the maroon box and would like to make it a combo for my personal collection of favorite reels. Thanks, Jim

OK Jim, I have an idea. I have the reel I don't want to trade. You have the box you don't want to trade.

Well I was a little late in posting the following, but I'm going to add it anyway. I think everyone will enjoy it and I already had it typed when I checked to see if anyone had made another post after Bad Bob.
Hold on Jim, before you gun down Bad Bob (at his age I'm pretty sure he couldn't even see you at 25 paces), give Wild Bill a chance to see your post. I'm sure he has a tub full. He's addicted to buying all the good old fishing reels he can get his hands on, and he usually has to take them apart and clean them before passing them on to the rest of us. THANK HEAVEN FOR MR. SONNETT!
As for me I'm content in just taking his reels and catching lots of nice Bass with them.

I also have one but it may not be as good as the one above. I also have one with the maroon repair box but it is gonna stay for a while.

Warren, my eysight isn't that great either. I think Bad Bob and I would do more damage to the surrounding landscape and any bystanders than each other. And Bill, your definition of "beater" needs work. What a reel! I'm sure Jerry has understated his as well. I've had two of those in my time, both going to Pflueger collectors to fill holes. I'm actually just looking for the 23 model without the flat pawl housing that I can probably afford. My box has April 3, 1923 on the front, so I'm good with the regular 23 patent model. Thanks for the replies.

Jim if you just need one with the bronze line guide hood I can probably help you out. I know there are a couple around here somewhere.
