ORCATexas 2005 New info Posted

Post by Tom E. »

Before you guys get too deep into 2006, wanted to let you know that things are progressing nicely for 2005 in Texas (1 mile from my lake house). I have posted some additional information on this website under '2005 Convention Story' and will continue to add information off and on until May.

Included is a schedule and some other info. Also a plea to get reservations and registrations in. Good planning means knowing how many are coming.

I promise good food, good fishing, good bird watching, a few alligators (still looking for a volunteer to wrestle same) and some warm weather.

Thanks for the additional info. I've had my reservation in for some time now. Will they set up pup tents for those who wait to the last minute?

Glad to hear you are on your way Don. No pup tents for you. It is a good idea to reserve a room - if we fall into overflow plan its 5 miles away in the small berg of West Columbia.

Tom,
I made my reservation weeks ago, and I gotta tell you I'm really looking forward to the event. More than anything, I'm looking forward to tossing a CCBCo Jigger in one of the two ponds to see what kind of action they have. I can't throw one up here for fear of a giant pike or musky dragging it to his trophy log for display! So, tell me about these Reds along the coast... :D

Jim, I don't think you have to be concerned about one of those toothy critters taking your lure now as hard as that water is!

Correct Don! But that darn lip keeps diggin' into the ice! To top it off, the poor fish keep knockin' themselves out trying to bust through that hard surface. And talk about having to make an accurate cast...these ice fisherman need to leave bigger holes in the ice!

Tom,
What's the chance you can provide us with a good map of the convention location? I tried downloading one from the convention center and it is just too fuzzy to read.
