Orvis 100B dating !

My name is Sergio and I live in Italy.

The Orvis reel 100B is for many collectors Italians still without a precise history and dating, I investigated for a long time on Orvis 100B but with few results.





I ask for help to those who have manuals or catalogs on this model (early 80s) produced by the company CopTes (no Zangi) of Turin (Italy).

Hi Sergio,
Per a book By Silvano Baraldi of Italy Mulinelli da Pesca Italiani
Vol 11 Zangi-Coptes the Orvis 100B was made by Zangi
see pages 84 and 121. Coptes acquired Zangi in 1972 with that
the 100B was 1971.
hope you can find a catalog for these.

I own his books but some printed information are now old and Silvano told me that soon publish some important updates ...
me and my co-workers have reported ANTIPES many corrections to be made to his books ...
one of the most important, made ​​by me, relates reels TRIO erroneously credited in the production of ZANGI (Turin) instead of PRC (Corsico Milan)...

Silvano is a reference for all Italian collectors,

I own many books almost like my reels.




Part of my collection, only those representing the production of Zangi & CopTes



To be sure of the history I have purchased many catalogs Ovis (from 1968 in 1982), but I have not found information on the model 100B.
An example, in April 2014 I recovered a very old catalog Zangi (late 40s), the news reported are different from what is described in the books ...
slowly insert the documents on the website ANTIPES and if possible try to communicate the information to all fans of ORCA.
This is a long job, are engaged for years in the shed more light on various subjects.


The group photo was made at Vicenza Fiera of Pescare Show (February 2014), this event was in the company of the best Italian collectors: Silvano Barali, Lino Galeotti, Renzo Di Paolo, Francesco Guido ext.
