Wanted: 1 Ocean City model 112. Reel can be a rust bucket but the logo must be in good shape.
If you have 1, email at ***email address removed***. Thanks in advance. :fished

Thanks for the tip. I've been watching The Bay for months and either they are junk, or they want to much and the shipping fees are ridiculous. Ever since Ebay introduced their international shipping scheme, the shipping fees have doubled.

Remind me...was a name associated with the 112? And is your box for an early reel or later TT/OC?

Edit: oh, wait...i assumed you were filling a box, Tony...maybe the mission is different?

Ebay is probably not the cause of shipping fees doubling to Canada, unless you're referring to their ridiculous "Global Shipping Program" which I would hope most U.S. sellers don't use. Rather, it's likely either the U.S. Postal Service, which keeps raising international fees at alarming rates or just lazy eBay sellers who can't be bothered to find out accurate shipping costs and just pull numbers out of the air. The #112 is one of the most common models from Ocean City, with dozens offered on just about any given day on eBay, so I'm sure you'll eventually find a deal that suits you if you keep looking. Good luck.

Hi Mark: Yes I was referring to that Global Shipping program. Most items shipped never get duties charged and I don't need Priority Post on most of my reels. This needlessly increases the cost of doing business. And as for your question John, I only need the reel and only for the logo so that I can fix my salesman's reel. The 112 Ocean City also goes by the name of Bay City. Thanks guys.

Tony, I may have a couple of 112/Bay City parts reels in a drawer. If so, I will send you at least the part of them you need.

Al

P.S. there is also a Bay City #113 and #165

Thanks Al. The 112 has the curved support pillars just like the reel I want to fix, and so do 2 of the other Bay City reels. The curved pillar is on the left on these 3 models.

The info was more of a question, although not approached as such. Assuming you are only looking for the dime sized medallion that says 112 in the center and Bay City on the lower edge below the 112... I will look and am pretty sure I have one or two laying around

Unfortunately, I have 2 that just have 112 on the medallion and one that just has Bay City on the medallion. It would maybe help if you show a picture of your reel for better identification.

On closer inspection of my reel, it would be the Bay City Medallion. The yardage on the bottom of the foot match it to a T.

This is the post of the reel in question. Also you can go to my old posts and check out the second last one in which we discuss the reel.

Shipping to Canada would be more, of course. For the whole reel, First Class to Canada would be $12.35. You could always ask the seller to just ship the side plate, but it would still be $8.80 via First Class. That's the reality these days with the U.S. Postal Service. That's as cheap as it gets to Canada. No way around it.

If you can wait, I think I have one in a big box of reels that I am trying to donate to ORCA for auction. I will send it out as soon as someone tells me where to send it. 8)
