Lang's Fall Auction

Post by Mike N »

We spend a lot of time discussing items on eBay but not much time is spent talking about the nation's top tackle auction, Lang's.

The fall auction is coming up November 1-2. Any thoughts on unusual and rare reels being offered? There is a George Snyder reel being offered that the description notes was vetted by Frank Stewart and Howard Fortune, two of the top Kentucky reel experts in the country.

I think this link is correct for the free on-line catalog:

The Stewart reels are all just beyond rare. Anyone who has sights on being at the top of the KY reel hill better come with a full checkbook!

A huge thank you to Wallace Carney for tracking down the information on Mary Trepp, whose name appears on the rare Mitchell Global spinning reel. She was the private/personal secretary to President and CEO Thomas T. Lenk.
