Sad News

Post by Don Champion »

I just received word today that Steve Knier, NC ORCA member passed away on October 31 from colon cancer. ORCA member Bill Hoerter and myself will help Steve's wife Melody in the spring with the disposal of Steve's collection of rods and reels. I may have some of them at the Nationals in Florida. Steve didn't make it to many Nationals but he was at the one in TN.

Boy that is a shock. Steve was a great collector and a great person. Always willing to help other collectors with his vast knowledge of reels. An ORCA member for many, many years. I will miss Steve at the many shows he attended.

Wow....he was too young...or at least that was my perception. Wasn't it Steve at Lake George collecting bicycles as well?

Steve will be missed! Allways smiling and cheerful. I have missed him at Daytona.
