A membership question

Post by clinton_beeler »

My E-mail is on hotmail so I don't have outlook or any other program, which is apperently required to contact Mr. Shulz. I recieved my last copy of Reel News in January and it had a "04" on the label, but this didn't concern me overly as I had just paid this years dues at the very end of december via "Paypal". I just noticed that my E-mail address is not listed here. This is the one organization that I am a member of and I value that membership highly. If there is a problem I would like to know and would not have brought the matter up on the board had I any other way to find out. Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Clinton, I'm not familiar with how hotmail service works but I believe if you can send normal email to others, you should be able to reach Roger. I don't think you need Outlook, etc. You can also give Roger a ring as his number is listed in the Reel News and club roster.

I seem to recall also that the email addresses listed on the ORCA site are not added automatically with new memberships. I think you need to request that it be listed. You might try sending an email message to Paul M., the webmaster.

Clinton, Don't worry, you are in the 2005 Roster. Names and email addresses are not posted on line except by request. There are collectors that do not want their email address on line, so this page was set up to be this way to be certain that someone's email was not publicized without their consent. :D

Sorry folks,
Naturally I wrote the post from school after I finished teaching my morning class and when I got home the mailman delivered Reel News (and a really nice letter from Milt).

Unfortunately I don't have any back issues because once I finish memorizing them I give them to father. When he finishes memorizing them he gives them to a friend at Zebco. I'd be willing to bet they then get passed around the company (what do you expect with such good material).

Thank you so much for the quick response and sorry again for the bother.

Regards,
Clinton

Clinton: Why don't you work out a bulk membership for you, your father, and all the Zebco management and employees? I'm sure that the Board of Directors could figure out a bulk membership fee, and then you could all have a copy to keep. Then you won't have to memorize it and have to fill your brain with useless information like my back page.

Post by SWIM JIG »

:D :) :o 8) :!:  Ok what a nice day this turned out to be! frogy Jig and I got the March reel news, needless to say all worked STOPED! now its read cover to cover including the covers! Some mebership standings as I counted! California has the lead at 73 members, OHIO with 66 I got to do another membeship drive) Florida 53, NEW YORK 53, state of WASHINGTON 53 and TEXAS 47, well the nationals in TEXAS most likly add some! People its graet to see the membership grow! And the next issue has a new person doing articles on that woderfull illusive and fasinating reel called ( MITCHELL) and this person will be a real asset to the colectors, as it stands I counted 19 colectors of Mitchels in our directory, and thats the members that list them as their preferance, Phil knows about the NEWBIE and will make a nice transfer to our new editor! People , dig out those Mitchels, you will be happy you did! As for the member?well just ofer a year ago a friend of mine in east KY sent this person to me on a repair problem, and how would one word it>? I told him 1 he needed to join ORCA as I could not be his personal trainer! 2 he joined and caused a sate to grow a bit3 he has studied the mitchel for years4 is going to do a rather intensive book on them , even studing (FRENCH ) so he can decipher these fasinating reels, and the fasinating thig is that anyone can still find them sometimes at very low prices. SOOOO, Phil , I am going to call this your retirement artical when you hand over the editors job to RICHARD LODGE! With that people I aint tellin! whom it is! Your very cold OHIO CONECTION COL. MILTON LORENS aka SWIM JIG ps also got my NFLCC Gazette its only 39 pages! ours is a wonderful 48 pages thanks to you contributors and our Editor PHIL WHITE !
