I have a reel collection I'm selling that is all of about 160 some odd reels. Most of the collection is dated 1950s to 1960s with some outliers higher and lower. The collection includes Abu Garcia, Airex, Alcedo, Cargem, Centaure, Compac, Dam, Delfino, Feurer Bros, Fix, Garcia Mitchell, Langley, Luxor, Ocean City, Offmer, Olympic, Penn, Pflueger, Record, Ru Mer, Shakespeare, Simplicity, Staro, True Temper and a few other odd pieces here and there. Obviously to post pictures of 160 or so reels individually would be tough, so if you may be interested I'm including some sample shots and if you're in a reasonable distance to South Jersey you're welcomed to check them out in person. I'd really like to sell them as an entire lot and the collection is worth in the neighborhood of $10,000. Thanks and tight lines!

The individual image file size limit of 2mb may be the issue. If so reduce size and try again. Also limited internet bandwidth or connectivity issues could have been an issue.

I am not a potential buyer but I felt the need to ask if all the reels in the lot are shown. I count about 17 reels in the pictures. Is that what you are trying to sell for $10k?
I mention in my original post that the pictures are a sampling only. The collection would need to be examined and purchased in person for this to work. No there a not 160 reels pictured but I do have more pics if you may be interested. Thanks.

If you really want to generate some interest in your collection, you might consider listing maybe the top 20 most desirable examples, as far as value and/or rarity goes. From the photos and list you provided, it's hard for me to imagine a collection valued at 10K, much less one selling for that amount.

I'm always interested in purchasing entire collectons and I do so frequently. If the sample photos you provided above are a reasonable representation of the entire collection, then it is very hard for me to wrap my head around 62 and a half dollars for each of those reels. Which is why I asked if the 10k was the amount you had invested in the collection. Unless you have some (like a hundred of them) killer, MIB first run Mitchells, (or some other high dollar reels ) that didn't make the sample photos it's just hard to understand how you hit the 10k mark. Just my opinion of course.
Realistically, the only way to evaluate a collection of this size and to make a deal is in person. You're coming up with an avg. Per reel but many of my reels have a market value of $100 + dollars which would skew the lower priced reels up. Obviously I don't want to get into the nitty gritty details of every reel that's part of my saleable collection but if you're serious and in commutable distance to south jersey I can give you more details. The examples shown, mostly Mitchell, clearly don't appear to be extremely rare models. If they are not "run of the mill" models, I would think getting a lot more specific on where the stated value lies would be beneficial, if not mandatory. In certain instances 30-50 spinning reels could easily amass a $10K value. It is doubtful, though, that the entire collection will sell to one person at one time, IMHO.
If you're interested I'd be happy to take this a step further with you, but unless and until you were in a position to look at them in person, this would all be for naught. Ideally a reader of these posts would be located close enough to the south jersey area to take a gander at the works and only then can price be a negotiable item. Thanks.

I recognize quite a few of those ebay titles! Some are mine!...lol dam, Will! How long did it take you to compile/copy paste that list! I don't collect those reels you listed, but I do deal in them....and averaging them out is a must in my position. I have my thumb on the pulse of the prices certain reels bring and if I can't flip for atleast double to triple my investment it's a no go for me. If you want to sell to collectors (which I assume your trying to do with this thread), go for it. If you're just looking to move them let me know. I'm in NY. I guarantee I won't come close to your number though. If you're looking for a reputable seller to move them (for a fee of course) let me know that as well.
I kept a record of all I bought and it was scary how much money I spent scottorock! Now that I'm in the midst of a move and re-evaluating all my belongings, I believe I can swing lightening up on this collection. If I had the time and patience I would go to flea markets myself, but I don't have either of those so I'm hoping to find a collector that can come by and give me a reasonable number for the lot. Thanks, but I am not interested at this time. I do not use or collect conventional type fresh or salt water casting reels, nor do I collect Japanese made spinning reels other than ABU Garcia fulcrum drags. With regards to the rest of your list, there are only about 10 spinning models listed that I do not already have.
