Is this a new trend?

March 24:
Inquiring minds want to know. Me, too.
March 27:
Inquiring minds wanna know...
March 28:
Inquiring minds want to know...at least mine.
I guess it's a good thing, as Martha would say.

Acquiring a mind is what I want to know! I want one that is my own and can be made up! One that I can't lose and plays games! Any suggestions?

John, those quotes were snippets from Reel Talk messages posted on the dates indicated. I thought they might reflect a wave of newly invigorated quests for knowledge sweeping over the club. Either that, or we're becoming the collecting equivalents of the Stepford wives, droning our latest mantra.
Harvey, check to see if you left your mind in one of those empty Shakespeare boxes.
Carl, it would be safer to be on giardia at all times. You can't be too careful.
Swim, we'd like to watch your reel walk someday. Stamp on enough of them, and those Trumps and Belmonts may become as "very rare" as the eBay sellers tell us they are.

Steve,

I had seen that line used here and over at Joe's about 10 times recently so I felt an overwhelming desire to fit in by showing off my command of the very latest linguistic developments. Either that or the Zithromax is now eating away at the frontal lobe of my brain and causing me to act in a spectacularly automatonical manner.

Either way I now know the truth about the cad Ciatti, which was pretty much the point of the post in the first place...

Todd

P.S. my nefarious goal in this post is to see if I can get people to use the word "automaton" repeatedly in ORCA posts.

"Inquiring Minds Want to Know." This is the sub-title of the "National Enquirer". I believe that is the correct title. Next time you are in the checkout line at the grocery store, you can check to see if I remember it correctly. That is, if you can get your attention away from the lurid headlines.

Lurid headlines? Hmmmm... Maybe we can add a few of those to The Reel News once the Reel Geezer retires.
Let's see: Meek collector admits he's a Martian...
Spinning reel SIG infiltrated by beasts from Middle Earth...
Youngster swallows Meisselbach Neptune, coughs up baked haddock...

Richard, I wish you had posted that message before I sent in my ballot. RRL misspelled "lure headlines."
