Pflueger Golden West patent marks?

Post by Ron Mc »

A friend has two Golden West reels. One with patent marks on the backplate, the other without any patent marks. He is also sure this is the original backplate. Asking for him, were there model years when the dates were not stamped into the rubber?
Thanks,

Hi,

Try looking under Robert Miller, he lives in Tennessee. As nice a gentleman as there is anywhere.

If you can't get ahold of him let me know and I will get him in touch with you.

Sincerely,

Dr. Todd E.A. Larson

Here are some pix of the reel in question. Backplate has same hardware as all others that I have seen minus the patent dates. Gorgeous looking reel and nice strong clicker. Can't wait to get it on the water.

Looks like I need lessons on posting with PhotoBucket to this forum :wink:Image

Marc, look up at the upload picture - note the file size limit. I also recommend that you keep it under 600 pixels wide. I resize them to 600 pixels wide using one program, then open and resave them in PhotoImpact which reduces the bit-size.
you may be able to download them directly from PhotoBucket to your desktop then upload to ORCA.
