For Sale is a very early, very rare, original black first version VS300 with screws in the side plate, circa 1992 by the original designer and manufacturer, Robert Koelewyn, Fairfield, CT. Reel is marked VS300, S/N 234 (134th reel manufactured), and also marked SA10 on side of body. It comes with a Special Order Van Staal torpedo handle knob, which is also exceptionally rare! The reel is like new, unused, w/NO box. Collect & display it, or fish it, either way, it's a great, & rare, early Van Staal, one of which is extremely difficult to find!

WOW! You don't see many Van Staals with visible screws. Neat reel, Ben, that's the earliest example I've ever seen.
