Penn Monofil No.25

Post by The Fishing Hobby »

The reel seems to work like it should but I am no expert on these by any means (I only fish spinning reels). The on/off switch engages and disengages the spool, the slider switch engages and disengages the drag clicker. The star drag adjustment increases and decreases the drag tension as it should. I have not cleaned or lubed anything on this reel. I got it with some other reels and I have no use for this one. If you look closely on the bakelite side cover plate picture you will see some scratches on it. On the handle side, there is a chip in the Bakelite cover just to the left and above where the Penn logo is.
I would take $25 shipped for it or would consider a trade for an older metal bodied light/ultralight spinning reel of some sort.
