Here is a nice set of 621's, including the hard to find 1/0, all in very good+ to near excellent condition. This set of reels came from the Thomas Howell estate. Mr. Howell made his fortune when he cornered 70% of the U.S. corn market. He briefly held the record for largest tuna at 956#. He also gained fame for a 62 hour battle with a 792# tuna, the story of which was written up in a 1934 edition of the Chicago Sunday Tribune. I have some provenance that came with the reels. Also, Mr. Howell's name is inscribed inside the back plate of the 4/0 and 6/0. I originally purchased this set to get a 1/0 621 in my collection, but subsequently found another one at the ORCA show last summer. So I am hoping to pass this nice set of reels onto someone else. I am asking $2400 for the set. If you are interested, have questions, or would like more pic's, please PM me.
Xxxxxxxxx or reply to this message via the net. Not reel good at computers myself but learning. Am interested in the collection, however I do have a couple of these already. Thanks Doug.
