MEISSELBACH 1905 VERSION TAKAPART FS

Made in 1906-7 it was the Meisselbach brothers first tubular frame reel. The spool diameter is 1 3/4 inch and 1 5/8 inch wide. It has 2 bands of knurling on the endplate rings. It has stamped on the foot "PAT.APLD FOR". It has stamped on the tailplate "TAKAPART" and "TRADE MARK" also "PAT'D DEC.8-'03". It has stamped on the headplate "PERECTION PENNELL TRADE MARK". The plain click works but it's a little weak when back reeling. The brass is starting to show around the edges. It's completely operational and looks pretty good too. 50.00 and shipping.
