I recently got a copy of the Jim Madden/ORCA book on South Bend reels. I could not put it down and was checking any SB reels I had. Fascinating tidbits of history in it and great info. I'm relatively new to ORCA and have little to offer in the way of in depth knowledge that helps people on this board...except that I would recommend this book to other new enthusiasts! I love it and many thanks to the veterans on this board who help me out with my questions. I'm off to work on my wish list of SB reels I don't have now.
I'm hoping the book on the Akrons and Summits is just as good...I'd love to read that one as well.

It is! Kudos to Jim and Bad Bob. I've been waiting on BB's book on Skilkast's and Rockets for quite some time now. And Jim's book specifically dedicated to "double spacer" South Bends. Wink wink
