Picked this up today also. Made by A & S Stamping Co., with patent numbers. It coils up a spring inside when turned in the direction of the word "Wind". Turns the oppisite way when released. Regular type "C" clamp that attaches it to the boat. I remember seeing reels similar to this used on the St Clair River, in Port Huron, Michigan, in the 50's-60's. This one came from an old timer that fished for Walleye. Also got about 10 lbs of metal wire line. Jim.
