Re: drag handle identification
it's been too long, Ron...no pic! you can host the pic on our board now by using the image upload button and just "upload all" after going for the pic, then select "regular" for size

Re: drag handle identification
hi John, thanks, not my photo, and it was most convenient to copy the link from the pm and paste it.
The reel is a postwar 1883L from friend grandad's collection, and I would think the aftermarket handle is well-represented in collections on this forum. Was hoping someone had information about the drag handle. Thanks again.

Re: drag handle identification
Ron, that's the standard Pflueger drag handle for the 1963 Pfl baitcasters .....push in on the button in middle and it puts the reel in free spool. Not sure how many years they made that model but there are Pfl mavens all over here that can improve on this answer.

Re: drag handle identification
awesome cool and thanks, I don't really collect LW and was only familiar with the Cub handle.
Of course he wants to know a value on the reel and my thought was the handle would improve it a bit over the masses...

Re: drag handle identification
Sorry, Ron...see modifications to my post above re specifics. Value is not high, due to non-rarity and late age...probably $20-30 on the optimistic side, without box and goodies.
