Pflueger ROCKET with No Model Number Question

Post by scottorock »

I've never noticed a Pflueger Rocket without a model number stamped on it before. Just an oversight at the factory? I couldnt find any info after asking Professor Google so Im asking here. Any comments greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There's a Rocket that can be found in eBay's Completed Listings (#252552625366) that simply has "ROCKET" stamped under the foot.

All of the "saltwater" stands (like the one in the listing you provided) are stamped ROCKET as opposed to the freshwater stands that have the 2 pillars and foot (which are usually stamped with the "B"). Ive never seen the head cap, other than the reel above, stamped PFLUEGER ROCKET without the model number of that reel. Kudos for the quick searching to help me!

Sorry about that oversight. As Argentina's Robert de Vicenzo said after blowing the 1968 Masters Tournament by signing an incorrect scorecard, "what a stupid I am".
