Re: Penn senator 12/0
Bruce M,
This is what I have seen over the years.
If they are torpedo shaped knobs- 1939-40.
If they are like an elongated model K knob 1937-8.
If it like a wooden log could be 1938-40 .
If it is like a Door knob 1938-40.

Re: Penn senator 12/0
Hi I bought a vintage penn senator 12/0 1940s when I free spoil it I hear a clicking sound but if I loosen the spool Bearing cap on the clicker side and shift the spool over a little it stops so I took the reel apart to se one you free spool if the gear counter sinks right and it does I'm kinda at a loss other then that the reel works great drag and all just free spool can some one help thanks bruce
Re: Penn senator 12/0
To fix this problem you have to take apart the sideplate on the handle side (the headplate). Take out the bearing cap and place a small brass spacer inside. You can make these spacers by getting a sheet of brass and use a punch. Using spacers inside the bearing cap will move the spool from right to left and will center the spool. Just use the right number of spacers to get the spool centered.

Re: Penn senator 12/0
I am not very computer savvy. I would check with Brian Funai, the webmaster for ORCA. He would be the person to instruct you on putting pictures up on the website here.

Hi Bruce,
Take a look at this post for a tutorial on posting photos. The last step is important - clicking on the address for either the thumbnail or full size image to appear. Let me know if you have questions and I can help.

Got a spare reel stamped "Pflueger" or a Montague Imperial?

Re: Penn senator 12/0
now, Bruce...no fibbing! it is very simple....just a series of steps...give it a try.
1. click on the "image upload" on the upper left above all the emoticons
2. colored boxes will show...click on the green "add files" box on the left, which will take you to your computer to select the pics you want to post...start with one to see how it works
3. once you have "chosen" the pic, click on the blue "upload all" box and your pics will upload..you will know when it is done by the disappearance of the green line showing the percent of the upload and appearance of two "addresses" for the pic...one "regular" and one "thumbnail"...click on the "regular" and the "address" will appear in the message window below...
4. For now, just hit the "submit" button so you know you can do it. You can then "edit" the post if you wish, adding more pics using the same method and/or add verbage about the pic.
Try it!!
