Does any one no what kind of glue I can use on a small crack on a vintage Penn senator 9/0 I got it at a garage sale for 40 dollars found a small crack under the star drag it has a wood handle or I would just buy a new side plate I would appreciate any help she is just to nice for parts thanks bruce

Two-part epoxy is about the best you can do, but it won't be invisible on a Penn sideplate. I would recommend you just leave as is and keep an eye out on ebay for the right vintage side plate.
I don't recall wooden handles being used on the Senators, but maybe I'm blanking.

Thanks the sideplate has pat d on it the handle is wood don't know if it's the right one the crack is right by the spool nut on handle you can barely se it but it makes me crazy knowing it's there I'm going to try to fix it from the inside I will let you know if it works thanks Bruce

Can't help with the type of glue to use, but John does. As for the wood grasp, you will find 3 types of wood grasp on early 9/0, and some 12/0, Senators. One that looks like a door knob, one that looks like you took a piece of a broom stick and a wood torpedo.
