Everlasting Everlasters

Post by john elder »

So, thanks to my good buddy Brian Funai i filled the 100 and 150 yd holes in my run of Pfl Everlaster reels...now have all from 100-450yd. has anyone seen any larger or smaller sizes? I would assume that the 100 is probably the bottom, but think there should be a 500 floating around out there! And if anyone has some basket cases with good Gem brakes, I'm interested...most of mine still have this brake, but several only have the leather thumb brake.

thanks!

Sizes

I don't think they came in a 500 yd size. You can check the listing in the Pflueger Pfacts book. David Percival may have missed a listing for one since he did not have all of Pflueger's catalogs at the time when he put the article together. But if so, it would have been offered for only a very short time - maybe like one year or so? The only other reel of similar construction by Pflueger that came in a 500 yd. size is the Templar (the largest size listed for the Oceanic is 400 yd.)

Now you can start a collection of both the satin nickel and the polished nickel finished versions!
