I want to complete a big game rod and would like to use the old stuff. I can have it turned from 1 1/2 brass bar stock but would like it to have a certain amount of age and character to it. Chrome or nickel plated brass is preferred. Tight lines, Nick in NY PS still collecting very rare unknown 1 of a kind big game reels as well as high end surf reels with odd 1 piece screw apart frames, odd free spools as well as odd features in general! I know I know all the usual suspects collecting the same thing and the pieces are being shopped behind closed doors for the highest prices but I've also several high end fly rods for a possible trade as well as high end lures etc.

Nick I have a bunch of old ferrules I bought in a big lot and I just went through them but not quite big enough ! That's a big ferrule what type of rod are you fixing up ?? John Taylor

Hi John, Thanks for the reply. It's for an unlimited Gurrieri 22 oz. tip. It's the crazy rare rod made in Long Island City in NYC from the late 20's to the early 30's. In 30* years of collecting its only the 3rd I've seen! I'll be sure to send you photos when it's completed. All the best, Nick in NY
