Can anyone tell who made this early example? The feet on these still confuse me. The handle is shown for sale in Pflueger's 1904 catalog, but I guess the reel itself could be Montague? Thanks in advance.

Without looking at my Pflueger Quadruple collection, I'll take a chance and say it is a Pflueger. Crank, knob, caps, trim look good. When I get around to going to my man cave and look at a couple, I may have egg on my face. But for now, it's clean.
Really nice reel!

PS: Rumor has it that all unmarked reels in the world were made by Montague. Another reason I may be foolish for saying Pflueger.
Checked some reels. The item that bothers me is that downward curved foot. My quadruples have straight feet. There are Montague members out there who should know if this is one of their reels. The screw that secures the crank looks ok as does that style end cap and the knob checks out with some of my early reels. The italics "Quadruple" is ok too. Had a couple of Pfluegers with "Surf Casting" in italics similar. But the foot.....
