2018 Calendar of Reels For Sale

A couple weeks ago, I was talking to a long time ORCA member, and she told me years ago ORCA used to put out a calendar, but for one reason or another, quit. I recently acquired all the original negatives to the photos Larry Lauve used when him and Bob Douglas wrote the book, A Conversation with Oscar Kovalovsky. Larry was a professional photographer by trade, and some of his work is pretty spectacular. So me and Larry got the idea of printing and selling an annual calendar of fishing reels, the first of which would feature his photography from that book.

Not knowing how much demand there might be for one, we limited our first calendar for the 2018 year, to only 50 copies. All the pictures in the calendar, except for one, are of Kovalovsky reels that appeared in his and Bob Douglas’ book (boy, would I love to know where some of those reels ended up!!), and all are reproduced using the original negatives. The quality of the photos and the reels, themselves are simply drool-worthy. The calendars are 8.5X11 inch. Price per calendar is $18, shipped. If interested in ordering one, PM me.
